Ana Kristina Gasteyer - American performer, comedian and actor - is a comedian. Her most well-known work was being a frequent cast member of NBC's sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live between 1996 between 1996 and 2002. Since then, she has appeared in such sitcoms as ABC's Suburgatory TBS's People of Earth NBC's American Auto as well as the movie Mean Girls. She began her career as an Northwestern University voice student, however, she switched to theatre studies when she was part of the campus improv group. Her improv-loving spirit carried over throughout her other roles, such in the roles of Sheila Shay, the overly-controlling character from Suburgatory as well as Karen Grisham the eccentric agent in Lady Dynamite.
